In 2007, the Yves Rocher Foundation launched the « Let’s Plant for the Planet » initiative: a worldwide planting program born with the aim of regenerating the soil, slow down desertification and reconnect humans to the positive energy of Nature and the magic that surrounds the trees.

The same year, Jacques Rocher met Wangari Maathai, the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. From that moment on, he devoted himself entirely to trees and set himself the goal of planting a million trees within the program « We Plant for the Planet ».

13 years have passed since that beautiful meeting and the Yves Rocher Foundation has been able to plant, not one, but 100 million trees: the ambitious goal has been achieved! This programme represents a real commitment, a concrete cause, an extraordinary example of solidarity.
